WHAT IS A MINICAR?
A minicar, microcar, 45 km car and moped are all the same vehicle. It is a Light Electric Vehicle (LEV) with four wheels and a maximum speed of 45 km per hour. They have a maximum power of 6 kW (8.15 hp) and a maximum mass of 425 kg (without batteries and without passengers or luggage).
WHY DRIVE ELECTRIC?
Driving an electric vehicle offers several advantages, but due to all the information on the internet, it is often difficult to get a clear picture of what the benefits of driving an electric vehicle are. That is why we have listed the most important benefits for you.
Electric vehicles are better for the environment
Electric vehicles have no direct CO2 emissions or exhaust fumes. This makes electric vehicles better for the environment. If you want to be even more sustainable, you can opt for a green energy contract for recharging the vehicle. This makes it even better for the environment. Ideal when you are able to charge your vehicle with energy generated by solar panels.
Electric vehicles are cheaper
Electricity is a cheaper fuel than petrol. At the moment, petrol in the Netherlands is more expensive than in the rest of Europe. You now pay an average of €1.78 per liter Euro 95. While you pay about €0.23 per kilowatt hour (kWh) electricity. This means that you’re able to save thousands of euros driving an electric vehicle.
There are also various tax breaks for electric vehicles until 2021. For example, you do not pay any purchase tax (BPM), road tax (MRB) or additional tax liability.
Electric vehicles require less maintenance
An average gasoline car has more than 200 moving, and therefore wear-sensitive, parts. An electric vehicle only has 7 of those parts. Meaning that electric vehicles require less maintenance.
When braking, electric vehicles use their electric motor rather than the brake discs about 80% of the time. By pressing the brakes on an electric motor, you regain energy. Which makes it possible to drive on one battery for a longer period. This of course also ensures that your brake discs wear out less quickly than brake discs of a vehicle with a petrol engine.
Also, no oil or oil filter needs to be replaced in an electric vehicle.
All in all, an electric vehicle gives you 70% less maintenance than a vehicle with an internal combustion engine. This information is based on a study carried out by TÜV.
Green World Mobility has the most wear-sensitive parts in stock in order to help you as soon as possible if needed. Furthermore, we have highly advanced analyzing equipment and software at our disposal to identify and solve any problems that may occur in the software of the vehicle.
DO I NEED A DRIVER’S LICENSE TO DRIVE THIS COMPANY’S PRODUCTS?
Green World Mobility B.V. sells multiple vehicles that do not require a driver’s license. You can drive our products on the road if you have one of the following drivers’ licenses:
- the AM4 driver’s license (moped/microcar driver’s license)
- the AM2 driver’s license (scooter driver’s license)
- the B driver’s license (car driver’s license)
- the A driver’s license (motorcycle driver’s license)
When you turn 75 years old, you are obliged to undergo a medical examination when renewing your car or motorcycle driver’s license. This is not necessary with a moped or microcar. If you are rejected for an extension of your driver’s license, only the driver’s license B expires. You will keep your AM driver’s license.
Your driver’s license is no longer valid if you do not pass the medical examination. However there is still a ‘B’ on the license itself. At the municipality you can easily exchange your driver’s license for an AM driver’s license. This does not require another medical examination.
A moped or microcar as sold by Green World Mobility B.V. is therefore an excellent alternative to still be able to travel after your driver’s license expires.
The AM4 license for mopeds and scooters consists of two parts: the theory part for mopeds and scooters and the practical part specifically for mopeds and scooters. The practical exam takes about 30 minutes and takes place in a closed area. The minimum age for the AM license is 16 years. The minimum age for the theory exam is 15.5 years. Everyone from the age of 16 years and older can use the products of Green World Mobility B.V.
